Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections

Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections is a not for profit organisation and we access approximately 22,000 people a year. We currently run playgroups, young girls groups, young boys groups, youth groups, senior groups, nutritional groups, exercise classes, in house TAFE courses, mobile childcare project and 7 social enterprises which provide in excess of 5,500 hours per year of employment for disadvantaged members of our community predominately women.

Program donations fund:

Wildflower Hair Accessories is a social enterprise run by teenage girls selling scrunchies to schools and sporting teams.

What started as a business project for teen girls has grown into a social enterprise where all sales go towards providing young girls with employment and business training. They oversee marketing, sales, manufacturing, partnership and even recruitment.

We would like funds to go toward scholarships to employ more young girls to work casually for Wildflower Hair Accessories.

With 3 generations of unemployment in Warwick Farm, our project empowers teenage girls to think differently about work. By being part of a team that is passionate about their job they are able to have fun while learning work ethic.

By training them in Marketing, sales, branding, research, manufacturing and organisational systems they are being inspired to look for careers not just jobs.
