Why I'm taking part in the Be Kind Sydney Day of Giving
About 1800 women and children have arrived in Sydney since the Russian invasion in February 2022. Most have left behind male relatives and their lives have been totally upended as they have been torn away from their homes, families, careers and communities. I have met many of these women and heard their stories and that is why I am fundraising for the SCF Helping Hand project which is providing much-needed funds to help them to settle into our beautiful city. I am hoping you can help SCF to support these women and children - it is the very least we can do.
