About

The Sister2sister Foundation (S2SF) mission is to help Australia's most marginalised girls grow into strong independent women capable of taking their place in the world. S2SF offers youth support and education programs for young girls who have experienced trauma and abuse or come from particularly disadvantaged low socio-economic circumstances. SISTER2sister (S2s) and No Limits 4 Girls (NL4G) are the flagship programs of S2SF.

The SISTER2sister Program is an evidence-based and trauma-informed youth development program that provides structured mentoring, psycho-educational workshops, and welfare support to vulnerable or disadvantaged teenage girls (Little Sisters) aged from 12-18 years from across Greater Sydney. Little Sisters
are matched with professional female mentors (Big Sisters) who are positive stable role models. NL4G is a School Workshop Series for Year 7 students, designed to empower young women by increasing their resilience, emotional intelligence, stress management skills, and create a strong foundation for personal growth. The core purpose of S2SF and the S2s program is “to empower vulnerable teenage girls to make positive life choices for a more meaningful future”.

At the end of the program, they will be able to demonstrate positive risk management skills to assist them to deal with their past trauma, circumstances and mental health issues. They may also attract and maintain positive friendships and relationships and have a sense of belonging and social inclusion.
