Utp has been at the forefront of art and social change since 1979. Recognised internationally, the Company has a 43-year history of creating artistically distinctive work and being at the forefront of contemporary arts practice.

Utp is a unique multi-arts commissioning and producing organisation. Our work is socially responsive, inclusive and reflects the diverse nation we live in. We make long-term investments in collaborations with artists and/or communities from outside the dominant culture to give form to extraordinary ideas. We never do this alone, working with an exceptional set of partners to co-produce a year-round multi-arts program of artist-led and community-led projects.

We are committed to offering access-for-all to brilliant ideas, unique arts/cultural experiences, and critical thinking.

Program donations fund:

15 Cigarettes is a creative program that tackles a serious social and health challenge we face as a society today: loneliness. Research has shown that the negative health impacts of loneliness are akin to smoking fifteen cigarettes a day. This is a program of gatherings, digital skills development and art making that is specifically designed to engage and support those most vulnerable to experiencing loneliness: seniors and young people. This program is a targeted offering towards multicultural migrants, specifically Arabic speaking community members in our local region of Canterbury-Bankstown.

Funds raised will contribute to project costs including: participant honorariums, artist and facilitator fees, production costs to create video/audio creative outputs by participants, access costs, admin/project management fees and project documentation costs.
