About

Wildflower is a Social Enterprise under Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections (LNC) run by a diverse group of young teens aiming to provide hair accessory needs for all school girls. As a young group of girls, we believe it is a necessity to supply school appropriate hair accessories for personality and character to shine through every adolescent outside and inside of school. As a team at Wildflower, we firmly believe hair accessories can produce confidence in young girls to assist to boost self-esteem.

Program donations fund:

Wildflower Hair Accessories is an innovative social enterprise run by a group of disadvantaged teenage girls who create a range of bespoke hair and other products and sell to the public through market days and their website and also to schools, sporting teams. The product range is all hand made by the girls and includes hair scrunchies, bows, headbands, hair towels, tote bags and make up bags.

The program initially started as a business course for disadvantaged young girls interested in developing their own businesses. As part of the course they created a range of hair accessories and it has now grown into a successful social enterprise where all sales go towards providing these young girls with employment, business training and personal development. The girls range in age from 16-20 and oversee all marketing, sales, design and manufacture of each product, website design, partnerships and recruitment.

LNC are hoping to raise funds to continue to employ the young girls in the social enterprise through our working scholarship program. Each scholarship guarantees a young girl part time paid employment to continue growing the Wildflower business and their own personal development.
With 3 generations of unemployment in Warwick Farm, our project empowers teenage girls to not only think differently about work, but learn the basic fundamentals of running a business in a supported environment. By being part of a team that is passionate about their business they are able to have fun, create supportive relationships with each other and learn skills that will empower them for their future. By training them in Marketing, sales, branding, research, manufacturing and organizational systems they are being inspired to look for careers not just jobs.
