Fundraising for: Charity Bounce

Charity Bounce is a not for profit organisation that exists to build resiliency and positive job futures for young people at -risk (12-24), using innovation through basketball to create ‘out of reach’ opportunities that inspire and motivate change. With a focus on Indigenous and culturally diverse communities, including newly arrived refugees, we aim to move young people toward a more positive future through the development of sports, education and employment focused social programs. The programs are delivered in partnership with sporting organisations, engaging professional athletes alongside our youth workers to motivate and inspire our participants.

Charity Bounce has demonstrated experience with a reputation as a not-for-profit leader in utilising sport to create meaningful social impact in the community. As a globally recognised and award-winning movement it is positioned as a premier Basketball Development Program in Australia and in winning the Global 2020 Beyond Sport Global Award is established as one of the Premier sporting development programs internationally, focussed on teaching the game of life outside the court as much as on it, developing disadvantaged youth including those from diverse cultural, refugee and indigenous backgrounds.

Program donations fund:

The Stand Tall Breakfast Club is a basketball resiliency program increases access to opportunities and resources for young people at risk in the community, with programs to be delivered in Western Sydney with a focus on young people from culturally diverse and newly arrived refugee communities. The funds will support the employment of youth coaches for our Breakfast Club program, which is a free open access basketball resiliency program for young people aged 12-19 years delivered every Saturday in Western Sydney.

Many at-risk young people experience exclusion or are marginalised in society so the program will provide a free open access basketball resiliency program for 12-19 years delivered every Saturday in this community to deliver social impact outcomes through 4 key activities:

1. Leadership and Resiliency skills development.
2. Stand Tall Youth Coach- Employment Pathway Opportunities
3. Athlete role models and volunteer mentors
