About

The Family Co. believes in a world where people feel heard, protected and valued. Through all of life’s challenges, the good and the hard, we’re here to help create positive change. To achieve this, we provide emotional and practical support to individuals and families who work with us. We also offer education, connections, information, advocacy and referrals to help people increase their knowledge and build confidence in managing challenging situations when it comes to parenting and relationships. We identify emerging issues in the community and respond with holistic wraparound services.

The Family Co. prides itself on creating and delivering evidence based and trauma informed programs and services to support and educate the community and deliver lasting benefits to empower parents and children. Upskilling the community in areas of domestic violence and respectful relationships is an important contributing factor to reducing the incidence of violence towards women, children and men in Australia. Our suite of services fall under the following pillars: Child, Youth, Family & Parenting Support, Domestic & Family Violence Support, and Education & Training. Every family needs support sometimes, At The Family Co. we aim to help both adults and children go from surviving to thriving.

Program donations fund:

The Family Co will use the Domestic Violence Brokerage program to provide emergency financial support when women need it most. The Australian Council of Trade Unions has found it takes the average victim $18,000 and 141 hours to remove themselves from an abusive relationship.

The Family Co aims to reduce these figures by covering moving costs and providing essentials such as white goods, bedding, food vouchers, or anything that may be required to allow a victim of domestic violence to remove themselves from a dangerous situation.
