Early Bird Cafe is 100% volunteer run. All donations go to provide the food and needs for the homeless and hungry of Sydney city. Each weekday morning our wonderful volunteers serve over 100 hot meals and provide enough food and support for the entire day.
Our volunteers provide a hot breakfast, food and frozen meals, as well as toiletries, clothing (new clothing provided with support of Threads Together), medical care (via St Vincents Hospital Outreach van), books and other needs. Our volunteers manage all aspects of the charity including food ordering and delivery, packaging, breakfast cooking and serving, stock management, cleaning etc. Our volunteers are just like you - ordinary people doing extraordinary things each weekday morning. Our Patron is the NSW Governor who can often be seen volunteering at the breakfasts!

Early Bird Cafe continues to provide a hot breakfast for the homeless and hungry of Sydney city each weekday morning, including public holidays. We are 100% volunteer run and a registered charity. We support the needs of the homeless in many ways - food, clothing, toiletries, medical services, and a myriad of other needs. Mainly we provide a smile and a listening ear for those who are distressed or just need a friend.
